MARKETING MANAGER FOR LOYALTY PROGRAMS

Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position helps drive customer renewals by developing and managing programs focused on increasing customer usage of our solutions, and ensuring account retention, customer loyalty and subscription renewals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and manage customer loyalty programs and materials in the following areas:

    - pilots (i.e. free trials) and new account implementation toolkits and programs.

    - promotional offers and programs that drive annual renewals.

    - online professional community and user groups (including live events and webinars).

    - packaging and communication of support, training, and professional development opportunities.

  • Build an engaging online professional user community and manage relationship-building via email, newsletters, blogs, surveys & social networks.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications Manager on collateral and sales tools, including data sheets, case studies, customer e-newsletters, website pages, presentations and demos as well as other external communications.
  • Manage external creative, instructional design, production, and service contracts, as needed.
  • Plan and manage nationwide user group program with live and online events (with logistical support provided by events coordinator).

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in English, communications, journalism or marketing.
  • Proven track record of 8+ years' marketing programs and communications experience in technology (SaaS knowledge highly desirable).
  • K-12 and/or higher education market experience highly desirable.
  • Experience translating business needs into practical, customer-oriented programs.
  • High integrity and a passion for great customer service.
  • Experience building successful user groups and/or online customer communities.
  • Solid vendor management and negotiation experience.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with web-based survey tools, Salesforce.com, email campaign management tools, webinar delivery platforms, social networking tools and/or professional learning community environments.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a creative “roll-up-your sleeves” role.
  • Excellent project management skills, high level of accountability, ability to juggle multiple projects and resources efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; ability to work closely and collaboratively with key internal stakeholders
  • Excellent customer empathy and listening skills.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation authoring abilities using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Other:

  • Some travel (25%) required, including occasional weekends.

REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

Job Description:

iParadigms, LLC, the makers of WriteCycle™ powered by Turnitin, is seeking a Regional Account Manager to join our Sales Team. This is a quota carrying, field-based position responsible for selling and renewing iParadigms’ enterprise solution services to a select group of accounts within a given geographic territory. This will include the top school districts and consortia in the Secondary Education market (primarily 8 – 12), select community colleges and four-year universities. This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Overall revenue responsibility in the defined channels of the geographic territory.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand and grow iParadigms market share in the defined channel.
  • Communicate effectively, through both verbal and written correspondence, with information technology and district level personnel and decision-makers at the school, district, and state levels. In addition, communicate effectively with professors, information technology personnel, and upper-level decision makers at the department, campus, and college/university system levels.
  • Thoroughly understand product line, including, but not limited to: features, benefits, compatibility, pricing/configuration, application, correlation to and use in the client environment.
  • Demonstrate the product line to prospective clients in both live and web-based environments.
  • Ensure accuracy of CRM data and sales activity tracking.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 4 - 5 yrs. experience in a quota driven sales role.
  • History of exceeding sales quotas and recognized success.
  • Experience selling enterprise software solutions in the Secondary Education environment preferred. Experience in the Higher Education market a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in working large, complex sales with an extended sales cycle.
  • Broad based understanding of the secondary education market and/or technology sales.
  • Ability to work effectively individually in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, persuasion and negotiating skills.
  • Quality writing skills, excellent phone presence, and professional manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com CRM.
  • Working knowledge of computers and general software applications.
  • Travel requirements: 50%

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position helps drive revenue by developing and managing the full lifecycle of marketing and promotional communications programs.

Primary responsibilities include: driving communications for demand generation, website, collateral and events; maximizing sales cycle efficiencies via collateral materials and programs; executing corporate marketing initiatives, including product branding.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales and senior management to identify, coordinate and implement Marketing Communications programs and materials aimed at higher education and secondary school segments for Turnitin and related offerings in the US and global markets.
  • Work closely with VPs of Marketing and Sales on company web site and communications materials in alignment with branding and positioning guidelines.
  • Produce creative briefs and implement communications activities in 5 areas: Product Launches, Demand Generation Promotions; Events (tradeshows and webinars); Web Site, Collateral and Sales Tools; and Long-Term Market Development Programs.
  • Produce marketing collateral and sales tools, including data sheets, case studies, customer e-newsletter, website pages, presentations and demos as well as other external communications. Includes writing/editing some pieces using established style sheets or managing freelance resources for writing and design services as needed.
  • Manage external creative, production, and service contracts, as needed.
  • Plan and manage trade show participation, materials and event schedule (with heavy reliance on trade show coordinator). Travel required will include some weekends as education market tradeshows often span weekends.
  • Manage inventory of collateral hierarchy including reprints and the identification of additional needs for web and print communications to assist in the sales process.
  • Manage Mar Comm budget - track invoices related to Marketing Communication expenditures.

Required Experience:

  • BS degree in English/communications, journalism, marketing with a proven track record of 8+ years in marketing communications with technology/web company. Strong ability to think creatively and translate business needs into creative; good vendor negotiation and management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation authoring abilities using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management skills to develop, deliver and implement multi-faceted programs and projects with accountability. Must demonstrate ability to work autonomously or with a team; possess an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a “hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves” role.
  • Must be able to work fulltime onsite at the Oakland office of iParadigms.
  • Knowledge of the K-12 and/or higher education markets a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools a plus to facilitate edits and modest changes to collateral materials.
